GRI 1500 Li anti-tip pin
"Every so often, I realize that the anti-tip pin has been taking a beating and has become bent due to stress. So for a minimal amount of $, I purchase a new part. Meanwhile, i start stressing because I am old and can’t remember how the heck I installed the pin the last time around. But this last time, I figured that I would figure it out once the part arrived. Sure enough, the part shows up, I get the Cart-Tek up on a work table with some pliers etc, and it becomes obvious that there is only one way the old pin comes out (through large hole opposite the aluminum sleeve) and the new one goes in. No wonder the boys ignored my earlier pleas for help: they knew I would see the way forward(!) The only glitch this time was that I had to open up the hole a little bit (mostly in the interior plastic sleeve) with a drill bit so that the new pin would slide smoothly through the hole and into the sleeve that holds the pin. So don’t panic, it ain’t that difficult, even if you CAN’T remember how you did it the last time…. !"
