The 1500 V3: Cart Tek's Premium Remote-Control Golf Cart

Lightweight enough to lift with one hand when you need to—the 1500 V3 weighs just 33 lbs fully assembled. That includes the 21 lb aviation-grade aluminum frame, wheels, battery, and all accessories.

But don't let the weight fool you. This cart is built tough, with a rugged frame and a sealed dual-motor axle that keeps out dirt, moisture, and wear. It's our flagship electric golf cart—built for golfers who want remote control, downhill stability, and the kind of engineering that just works, round after round.

What Makes the 1500 V3 Different

Active Steer Assist – The cart doesn't just roll—it tracks. Even on uneven terrain or side slopes, it holds its line without drifting or wandering.

Automatic downhill braking – Going downhill? The 1500 V3 regulates its own speed so it never runs ahead of you. No chasing. No jerking. Just smooth, controlled descent.

Programmable remote with speed dial – Adjust speed smoothly with the intuitive dial, steer precisely with directional controls, and navigate from up to 100+ feet away.

Push-button distance control – Send the cart ahead 10, 20, or 30 yards with a dedicated button. Perfect for clearing tee boxes or moving ahead on long fairways.

Powerful 25.2V lithium battery – Lightweight (just 3.5 lbs), long-lasting (up to 36 holes per charge), and quick to recharge. The LED indicator shows your charge status at a glance.

Fully adjustable handle – Set the height exactly where you want it. Comfortable for golfers of any size.

    Good, but . . .

"I like my CartTek robot caddy and want to really like it. It is durable and has enough juice to get around north Georgia hill courses. BUT! If I were looking to buy a robot in the future, I would really pay attention to the bag holder components. I have seen electric carts that have much beefier and practical bag holders than the 1500. The 1500 has a very small platform on which to rest your bag and EXTREMELY SHORT ARMS to support the bottom of the bag. The bungee cord, therefore, must do all the work to hold the bag in place. Practically speaking, this means that virtually any small bump on the course (including uneven cart paths) creates the risk and likelihood that the bag will bounce, which will cause the cord to disengage and your bag to be less than fully supported in the cart. On a typical 18 hole round, I have to reset the bag and put the cord back in place at least twice, if not four or five times. This is ANNOYING! So, in short, it's a solid cart but do a little homework and think about the cart as a whole."

great cart with minor improvements needed

"I love my 1500 v3 cart so far and am thankful to be walking the course again. My couple of suggestions that I'd like to see in the next year or two would be: 1. linking the remote and shifting back to manual takes some getting used to. . . I'm still not fully confident but will practice doing it. There are 4 speeds available on the remote and of course 1 is too slow and 2 is often a little too much. I'd like the cart to just follow me at my pace and I think I saw a new model coming out that will do that. 2, There is a cart coming out by ixi golf that also records your swing and tracks your ball to save time finding it should it not be on the fairway. . . . I'd love to see that function in your carts."

    Steve S. (4/5)

Like that cart wish it had a cargo net under handles for items.

"I really like the cart — the power and stability are excellent, and assembly was incredibly easy. That said, there are a couple of minor things that could be improved. The magnetic remote holder isn’t great; even lightly brushing against it causes the remote to fall off. As a result, I usually just leave the remote in the cup holder. It would also be nice to have a small netting basket or pocket under the handle area for tossing trash, broken tees, old golf balls, etc."

    My new cart

"Wow this 1500 is one fine cart. I retired my Aphard V1 after 8 years and it was a nice cart. This 1500 is faster, turns sharper easier to load and unload. Only 3 rounds in so far but I really like it Thanks"

    Stop

"Seems good so far. The stop button dosent always work the first time. I have seen it try to sneak off after I tried stopping it. Let’s give it more time."

    Great made greater!

"I bought a 1500 in 2016 and figure I probably played over 800 rounds with it. Great cart but time to get another. After 6 rounds with my new 1500 V3 I realized Carttek made a great cart greater. I’ve never had a bad experience with this company. Customer service is second to none. My group of three all have carts from Carttek and love them. If y’all need a product tester in North Carolina send it my way."

    Rudi (5/5)

    Runaway golf cart

"One of the courses I play is quite hilly and the auto braking system is much too fast to keep up with. Other than that, the cart is a dream. I love walking without carrying or pulling. Especially on the hilly course. Whomever I spoke to on the phone was very helpful with slowing the turn rate. It turned like a little spin top with the setting it came with. After making a couple of adjustments to the settings and setting the walking speeds to my various paces it makes walking the course a pleasure and I have much more energy for the last few holes. The one complaint I have is that the upper bag rest does not fit my bag very well. My bag rides up, thus comes off the bottom rest and the bungee comes off the bottom. The problem was easily solved with an additional bungee holding the bag down. So, without using another cart to compare it to, I give it 5 stars for ease of use. In addition to on course operation, both folding and setting up for use is very quick and easy. Thank you very much."

    8 out of 10

"10 weeks of use (purchase date 6/27/25): I don't like the design of the card holder. The card is hard to get into the clips and the pencil holder is almost useless. I modified it to be more like the ones on Clickgear carts (pictures included). The brackets that hold the bag are "V" shaped and my bag keeps turning to one side or the other. . . I'll have to modify that too to keep the bag more secure and square on to my intended path. Different shaped "U" brackets would be nice. The LUX upgrade kit is overall very nice and definitely worth the money. . . the metal knobs and umbrella holder are very robust. And the diameter of the umbrella holder is perfect. The leather hand grips are also nice. As for the cart itself (1500 v3) it's peppy and rolls very well, but keep a sharp eye on it because the remote sometimes doesn't work. You'll hit the rolling stop button (orange) or the red stop button on the remote and 95% of the time your selection will register, but sometimes it won't. I learned to not turn my back on it. I think the cart does what it's told to but sometimes the remote doesn't tell it correctly. After 10 weeks of use I still sometimes have to hit the stop buttons twice, or more, to get it to actually stop. (Be careful of holding the red stop button down for more than 2 or 3 seconds with a runaway cart, because it'll shut the remote off and you'll be doing your Usain Bolt impersonation to get to the cart before it goes in the creek). Been there, done that! Also, the red stop button will stop the cart immediately, however it doesn't lock the wheels. If you stop the cart on an incline it will stop, then slowly roll forward or backward down the incline. I've had to move the cart to be perpendicular to the incline to stop the slow roll. The turning feature is also odd. It turns by manipulating the rear wheels. . . slowing one and accelerating the other. . . with the result the front wheel gets dragged along the ground, left or right, to complete the turn. What happened to me today (9/8/25) was the front wheel was near the curb of a cement cart trail and got caught on the lip (1/2" high) while the cart was turning and the rear wheels have so much torque they actually twisted the front wheel which broke one of the spokes and cracked the rim ($45 + shipping to replace). It would be nice if they made metal wheels for the 1500 v3 that won't break. It also doesn't turn very well, if at all, in reverse. Once a golfer in a riding cart just barely clipped it while driving past me and the cart went into a uncontrolled spinning frenzy until I hit the stop button. . . very strange. And if you wear the remote on your belt it's VERY easy to brush up against it and start the cart rolling without knowing (happened to me several times). It's like having a new baby. . . don't ever turn your back on it for more than a few seconds. Maybe in version 4 they will address some of these concerns. Overall, I like the cart and am glad I bought it. . . it just took 2 months with a learners permit before I felt moderately safe amongst other golfers. It's very much like picking up a new skill set."
